Job Description

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Management Assistant (PMA) to support our project management team in the successful execution of projects. This role is ideal for someone with the skill set of a Project Manager who prefers to stay in a supportive or technical role , rather than leading full projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction, engineering, or technical project environments and a strong understanding of project lifecycles, documentation, and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and coordinating day-to-day project activities.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reports.
Track project milestones, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met.
Serve as a key communication link between stakeholders, clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Support site visits, inspections, and coordination with vendors or subcontractors as needed.
Help with resource allocation and task prioritization within active projects.
Participate in team meetings, taking detailed notes and ensuring follow-ups are executed.
Identify and resolve minor issues proactively, escalating larger concerns to the PM.
Provide technical or engineering input where applicable to support decision-making.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in project coordination, project engineering, or PM support roles.
Strong familiarity with construction, manufacturing, engineering, or similar project-based industries.
Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet, or similar).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Comfortable with data analysis, reporting, and technical documentation.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
