ThousandEyes is seeking a talented and experienced Information Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in ensuring our compliance with FedRAMP requirements and maintaining our high standards of security. You will interpret compliance controls for engineering staff, build and implement automation, and manage vulnerabilities, particularly in the Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) space. You will drive projects from inception to completion, ensuring our security measures are robust and up-to-date. What You'll Do Security Assessments: Conduct comprehensive security assessments of cloud environments leveraging NIST SP 800 series publications. Identify vulnerabilities and risks related to FedRAMP compliance. Provide detailed recommendations to mitigate risks using the RMF and other approved resources. FedRAMP Compliance: Ensure all systems and services comply with FedRAMP requirements. Respond to technical inquiries and advise on FedRAMP compliance. Collaborate with external auditors during FedRAMP reviews and audits, providing precise responses. Implementation of Security Controls: Implement and oversee security controls based on FedRAMP standards. Manage data encryption, authentication, authorization, access controls, and data protection leveraging FIPS standards. Configure and maintain security tools and monitoring technologies for continuous compliance. Technical Advisory: Provide security best practices advice to development and operations teams. Assist in troubleshooting security and compliance issues. Stay updated on security threats, compliance trends, and FedRAMP changes. Infrastructure as Code and Automation: Utilize tools like Kubernetes and Terraform to automate security controls. Develop scripts to automate security processes and checks. Ensure infrastructure security by design, adhering to FedRAMP. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Experience: 5-7+ years in information security. Experience in assessing and mitigating security risks in cloud and on-prem environments. Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, and/or Azure. Technical Knowledge: Security controls implementation, including encryption, authentication, access controls. Security assessment and monitoring tools knowledge. Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform. Scripting skills (Python, Bash). Skills: Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and in teams. Strong problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience automating security and compliance processes. Advanced scripting/programming skills. Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Security, Azure Security Engineer, Google Cloud Security Engineer). Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA).
