SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Boston Massachusetts Area

JOB DESCRIPTION
Importer/ Distributor seeks experienced self-motivated, creative selling professional that possess the ability to manage time effectively and maintain customer satisfaction with existing / new territory within the state. Our ideal candidate will be a team player, have a strong work ethic while highly motivated, goal oriented, well organized with strong desire to succeed. This position works with On and Off Premise clients in Massachusetts North of Boston. Applicants should reside in the area of Boston or surrounding towns.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESALL\tMaintain current and develop new customer relationships.
\tOpen new accounts, both on and off premise
\tMust have ability to sell new portfolios and brand extensions.
\tAcquire necessary product knowledge to assist customers in understanding the brand, including the cost, product placement and the benefits and features.
\tResponsible for planning sales call through understanding products being presented, how these products will assist the customer in sales, having sell sheets prepared along with pricing.
\tTimely follow-up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction with new products including proper merchandising and providing in-store tastings as needed.
\tManage samples to ensure product placement in both On and Off Premise locations.
\tOn-going assistance with customers to ensure all brands are properly merchandised, inventoried, and continued in-store demonstrations to ensure sell through.
\tMeet or exceed monthly sales and product placement expectations.
\tAttending weekly sales meetings with the goal of gaining knowledge of products through supplier and company training.
\tUtilize Microsoft Office to prepare and maintain route sheets, submit daily reports, create personalized sales presentation for customers.
\tAccount Receivable responsibilities
\tAssist company and customers in collection of monies owed within the proper credit terms.
\tMust be able to lift 55lbs. to build displays and assist customers with inventory as needed.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
\tMinimum of three-year experience in either Retail, Restaurants and/or Wine and Spirit Wholesale.
\tCollege degree preferred.
\tWorking knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
\tValid driver's license
\tMust have a clean driving record. (If an interview has been established, bring the driving record with you)
