Industry: Networking & Infrastructure Technology (Cisco, Juniper, HP, etc.)

Location: Redwood City, CA

Salary Range: $160,000 to $200,000 USD + Benefits

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Client Partner, Engineering Services to drive growth for our Software Engineering Business within large networking and infrastructure technology companies such as Cisco, Juniper, and HP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the software product development and program management life cycle. The person should have understanding of current software development tools and has worked closely with engineering teams of technology companies in the bay area. The person will be able to identify software development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Strategy

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to expand engagement with large technology clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within networking and infrastructure technology sectors (Ideally with Cisco)
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in engineering, product management, and procurement teams.

Technical & Product Expertise

  • Understand customer needs and technical requirements.
  • Good understanding of software development tools used in networking and infrastructure engineering.
  • Work closely with customer’s engineering leadership to align business development efforts with technology roadmaps.

Recruitment & Talent Engagement

  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to identify, hire, and onboard software engineers with the necessary technical expertise.
  • Engage with third-party vendors, contractors, and outsourcing partners as needed to fulfill project requirements.
  • Support workforce planning to ensure resource allocation meets project timelines and budgets.

Financial & Budget Negotiation (Optional)

  • Manage budget allocation for engineering projects, ensuring optimal use of resources.
  • Develop business cases to support investment decisions in software engineering initiatives.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, engineering management, or a related field within networking and infrastructure technology companies.
  • Good understanding of software product development life cycle and software development processes.
  • Familiarity with software development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience or working with talent acquisition, workforce planning, or engineering recruitment is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
