About the Role: We are in search of a highly skilled Controller with a specialization in Tax and Accounting. This pivotal role involves overseeing our financial operations to ensure precision and compliance. We are looking for a meticulous professional with a strategic approach to manage and guide our financial team effectively. Core Responsibilities: Lead and mentor the Accounting Manager in handling bookkeeping operations and processing payments. Engage with the executive team, including the President, Vice President, and Treasurer, on strategic financial matters. Prepare, review, and analyze comprehensive quarterly and annual financial reports. Oversee and optimize bank deposits and wire transfer processes. Assist the Treasurer in facilitating annual audits and managing payment distributions. Coordinate tax filing processes and address tax notices in collaboration with an external CPA firm. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA certification is highly preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting, with a strong focus on tax and accounting. Experience in real estate and trust accounting is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word. Hands-on experience with QuickBooks is required. Ability to manage confidential and independent tasks with discretion. Proven capability to supervise and empower an Accounting Manager. Excellent collaboration and team-working skills.
